Welcome to the 5th edition of Scratch Paper!  We invite you to check out the great new selection of student writing and visual work, as well as our recent enhancement of previous editions. Selected stories from editions #1 and #3 feature audio performances by the authors, recorded by Ian Roelle. You can listen to works by Jeff Koerber, Michael Rolfsmeyer, Katherine Hart, and Josh Gort. We will feature more audio performances in future editions.

We have divided this edition of the magazine into five different sections. Voice Mail is Scratch Paper’s opinion page. It’s a place to contribute your thoughts on issues important to you, to Flashpoint, or to society at large.  The Red Pen is a home for reviews of professional media work and cultural events. Put the knowledge you’ve gained at Flashpoint to use by critiquing a piece on its artistic and technical merits. For fiction and poetry, read the Story Board. To see drawings, paintings, photographs, and digital images by Flashpoint Academy students, visit the Drawing Board. And when a member of the Flashpoint faculty or staff has something he or she would like to share, it will be posted as a Note From The Office.
